Make your own Pet Potty for in the house or outside for about . Easily rinse the artificial turf clean and drain the mess without making a mess! Once you train your pet to use this potty, you won’t have to worry about it messing up your yard, patio, or carpet. Thanks to Dash the Beagle for taking the lead role in this film ![]()
I did something like that too but i used cedar shavings but i didnt cut the whole in the box she just hopped in it like a lil rabbit lol and did her business….

Like if you have kids who play in the yard etc… they step in poop and bring it back indoors so the kids know that one area do not go near it and indoor potty can get smelly i will put mines on the screen porch and one out doors when she is out playing with the kids…

simple. easy. awesome! Were just starting to build ours and have decided to use kitty litter beneath the metal grate to make sure there are no spills during clean up. Using this for our second floor patio area. thanks a million for the idea!

Just adding my two bits to this design as i have also made a few variants for my dog as well…he is small, a Maltese, but is a leg-lifter and after my first purchase of a hammacher-schlemmer model that totally wruined my laminate floors, I made my own model from a large rubbermaid storage bin. An under-the-bed kind is best. Just cut a doorway it and place pee mats, newspsper, or cat litter in the bottom and voila, the sides will be high enough to save your floors.(i know i need to do a vid!)

any chance you can drop a link to the “white plastic grate” you are talking about? I can’t seem to find anything like that on Home Depot .com… and does the drip pan have a drain or does it just pool in the bottom? Thanks for the vid! I’m building one this weekend!

Thanks for the video and your comments! Have you attempted at any point to use real grass? Wouldn’t that just absorb most of the urine? Anyway, I would like to make one of these, so any feedback would be great. Thanks!

This is really great for puppies that can’t go outside because they don’t have all their shots yet. I was looking at the Pet A Potty which retails for like $300, this is a much better deal, especially because I only plan on using it during the puppy stage!! Thanks!

i’m trying to get my dog to pee on a pooch pad (astro turf with a washable pee pad) and have it in a shower stall. she won’t go in there. tried a couple of times. i was thinking it’s an enclosed area, so she’s thinking it’s den-like? anyways, how did you get your dog to go pottie in the shower stall? i’d love my dog to do it there.

Great video! Gonna put one on the balcony for the new puppy my boyfriend got. Solves a lot of our problems with all the concrete around (being downtown sucks sometimes, not enough parks and greenery!).

People keep forgetting about adult male dogs who won’t pee any other way but sideways with the leg up and trying to mark anything that’s vertical. Put this thing next to a wall and you’ll get a dog who steps on the fake grass but pees the wall.

With your idea I made one to fit inside my shower stall. I now only have to run the shower to rinse out the grass and let it drain. I’m working on training my do to use the toilet.

You have to pick up the poop… just like you do if your puppy poops on your carpet, except this is much cleaner! haha!

A friend of mine uses his outdoors on the patio to make sure his dog goes potty in the same spot every time and also to keep the poop off the pavement, where dog mess can stain easily. Also, if you want to keep things consistent for your pet, you could have one setup outdoors and one indoors. Personally I’ve found that indoors (besides the garage) is just too smelly any way you do it.

For people who live in apartments with patios- let the dog out on the patio.

the home depot calls that material ‘diffusers’ – they didn’t know what i was talking about at first.
