awesome,was that a tame rabbit or a wild rabbit???i had my 4 month old beagle pup on some wild rabbits,i was just wonderin if a tame rabbit would be as good as a wild 1

wow was that a running pen? ive read about a pen about 100 yards square or bigger for running pups…i have two 3 month old pups that i plan on buying rabbits to train, got any pointers???

i live in spain and i ve hunted with podencos and i can tell u that podencos suck ass. It is better to go hunting with no dogs than with a podenco.

In my experience with beagles, young hounds out first the first few times will usually stay close to you if not under your feet. As beagles get older and gain experience and confidence being out hunting, they will often range out further from you. Keep in mind that every beagle is an individual and that the trait of hunting and hunting with you is mostly genetic. I would not worry too much about your beagle not returning. Just hunt him in safe areas away from vehicular traffic.

he will not run from you normaly….he should go and hunt but usually you will not lose him and he will come back also if hes trained to come wen called you should have no problems….you may not see him but he is still there most of the time…and wen he is chasong rabbits he will bark and you will kno were he is

The winner is break oday kennels for excellence in presentation .I’ve trained pups of my own and this vid is the most fun I’ve had since then.GOOD JOB YOU GUYS

i just got a puppy and its 6 weeks old and we live in iowa and its in the middle of winter so we keep the pup in the basement. Do you suggest we take the dog out in spring becasue we want this a hunting dog…i need all the suggestions to make a good rabbit dog…Im trying to spend 15 min 3 times a day playing with him and trying to get him to know his name to fetch and bring back a old sock to me… what alse should i do? when should he smell a rabbit? thanks
